Handcrafted Ceramics by

Katelyn Guthrie

Wheel thrown functional pottery based on historical North Carolinian forms. Katelyn Guthrie approaches pottery as a repetitive, pragmatic art form that challenges the mind and body.

Guthrie is inspired by textiles, and pattern; subtly mixing form and function to create art that one can covet each morning with coffee, sugar, and cream.

Katelyn Guthrie has been teaching all skill levels in hand building, wheel throwing, and decoration for the past three years.

Guthrie teaches out of the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, North Carolina. Workshops are also held at other local businesses, such as Fat Cat Pottery, and Orange Street Pottery.
